He submitted his resignation on November 5.<\/p>\n<p>According to sources, Chawla was asked to step down following complaints about delays in approving technical estimates and clearing files related to various development works. Officials said such delays were affecting the timely completion of projects across departments.<\/p>\n<p>Chawla\u2019s role involved reviewing technical estimates and ensuring smooth execution of works in multiple departments.
