SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Police has busted an inter-state and international terror module linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH), arresting seven persons, including two doctors.<\/p>\n
The operation, carried out jointly by the Faridabad Police and Jammu and Kashmir Police, led to the recovery of 2,900 kg of IED-making material, arms and ammunition. One of the arrested doctors is from Faridabad, officials said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn a major counter-terrorism breakthrough, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has busted an inter-state and international terrorist module linked to proscribed terror outfits JeM and AGuH,\u201d a police spokesperson said. The operation resulted in the arrest of key operatives and recovery of a large cache of arms, ammunition and explosives during coordinated searches in Jammu and Kashmir and other states, the spokesperson added.<\/p>\n
Earlier, on October 19, posters of JeM were found in Srinagar\u2019s Bunpora Nowgam area, threatening police and security forces. Following this, a case was registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Explosive Substances Act and Arms Act at Nowgam police station.
