{"id":55507,"date":"2025-11-19T17:30:46","date_gmt":"2025-11-19T12:00:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/punjabenews.com\/English\/?p=55507"},"modified":"2025-11-19T19:11:30","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T13:41:30","slug":"key-member-of-jagga-fukiwal-extortion-gang-among-three-arrested-in-kapurthala-nine-pistols-seized","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/punjabenews.com\/English\/punjab\/key-member-of-jagga-fukiwal-extortion-gang-among-three-arrested-in-kapurthala-nine-pistols-seized\/","title":{"rendered":"Key Member of Jagga Fukiwal Extortion Gang Among Three Arrested in Kapurthala; Nine Pistols Seized"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Accused Amandeep Played Major Role in Supplying Weapons to Local Gangs for Firing and Extortion, Says DGP Gaurav Yadav<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Punjab News:<\/span> In a decisive action against illegal weapon networks amidst the ongoing drive to make Punjab a safe and secure state as per directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Kapurthala Police has arrested three members of the Jagga Fukiwal extortion gang and recovered nine country-made pistols along with live cartridges from their possession, said Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav here on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Those arrested have been identified as Amandeep alias Aman, a resident of Tashpur in Sultanpur Lodhi, Harjit Singh alias Jeeta, a resident of Khanpur Dhadha in Nakodar, Jalandhar and Lovepreet alias Baba, a resident of Mohalla Baghichi in Jamsher, Jalandhar.<\/p>\n<p>DGP Gaurav Yadav said that arrested accused Amandeep is the active member of the Jagga Fukiwal extortion gang in Sultanpur Lodhi area and was instrumental in supplying weapons to local gangs to carry out firing and extortion activities.<\/p>\n<p>The DGP said that further investigation is underway to trace backward and forward linkages in this case to dismantle the entire illegal arms network.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing operational details, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kapurthala Gaurav Toora said that following reliable inputs, police teams had arrested the key accused Amandeep from Link road Talwandi Mehma in Kapurthala and recovered four pistols from his possession.<\/p>\n<p>During investigation, accused Amandeep revealed that he had supplied two pistols to his associates Lovepreet alias Baba and Harjit Singh alias Jeeta, who were also arrested, he said, while adding that police teams have recovered one .32 bore country-made pistol and one .315 bore country-made pistol from their possession.<\/p>\n<p>The SSP said that further interrogation of accused Amandeep has led to the recovery of three more country-made pistols buried at his house.
