Jalandhar News: In what is being termed a historic development for the Jalandhar Central constituency, Surya Enclave and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Avenue have finally been approved for transfer to the Municipal Corporation Jalandhar \u2014 a long-pending move awaited for several years. The decision has opened the door for long-delayed civic development, bringing relief and renewed hope to thousands of residents. After the decision, representatives of six major resident societies jointly thanked Kohli, calling the achievement a result of his \u201cunwavering commitment\u201d and \u201cconsistent advocacy\u201d for the area.<\/p>\n
Rajiv Dhamija, President of Surya Enclave Welfare Society, said Kohli pursued a complex, years-old issue with seriousness and consistency. Representative Sukhwinder Singh added that the long-standing demand has finally been met, calling Kohli\u2019s working style \u201cresults-driven and people-centric.\u201d<\/p>\n
Naveen, representing MRS Avenue residents, said the decision reflects Kohli\u2019s visionary leadership and continuous efforts.\u201cHe ensured the issue was strongly raised at every administrative and political level and that solutions were prioritised,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Senior social worker Roshan Lal Sharma said Kohli has brought \u201ca new sense of trust and development-oriented thinking\u201d to the area. \u201cThe strength of his leadership lies in understanding real public needs and converting them into actionable policy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Local society representative Rajesh Chaddha added that Kohli followed the matter consistently and acted as the voice of the residents at every step, calling the decision \u201chistoric for the future of the constituency.\u201d<\/p>\n
