New Delhi: The Central Government has clarified that a proposal aimed at simplifying the Centre\u2019s law-making process for the Union Territory of Chandigarh is still under consideration and no final decision has been made.<\/p>\n
Officials said the proposal does not seek to alter Chandigarh\u2019s governance or administrative structure, nor does it intend to change the long-standing arrangements between Chandigarh and the states of Punjab or Haryana.<\/p>\n
They added that any decision will be taken only after thorough consultations with all stakeholders while keeping Chandigarh\u2019s interests in mind.<\/p>\n
The Centre also said there is no need for concern, adding that it has no intention of introducing any such Bill in the upcoming Winter Session of Parliament.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
