The project focuses on six critical themes\u2014Digital Literacy, Financial Awareness, Gender Sensitivity, Sanitation &amp; Hygiene, First Aid &amp;<br \/>\nEmergency Response, and Career Guidance. Under the vision of DC Jalandhar Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal IAS and the leadership of Assistant Commissioner Mukilan IAS, the project is led by Kritika Sethia, who has driven its<br \/>\non-ground execution and coordination. With three rounds of teacher training, practical demonstrations, and extensive exposure visits to district offices, the initiative has embedded<br \/>\ntransparency, real-world learning, and community engagement at its core.<br \/>\nThe curriculum prioritizes real-world competencies\u2014from life-saving first aid to digital and financial literacy\u2014ensuring students learn skills that truly matter beyond the classroom.<br \/>\nThe project covers six major themes: Digital Literacy, Financial Awareness, Gender Sensitivity, Sanitation &amp; Hygiene, First Aid &amp; Emergency Response, and Career Guidance. Every Friday, teachers across participating schools conduct CHETNA sessions<br \/>\nfeaturing demonstrations, hands-on tasks, and scenario-based learning. Project also strengthened community engagement through exposure visits that allowed students to interact with district officials and witness governance firsthand, the project fostered transparency,<br \/>\nconfidence, and civic awareness.<br \/>\nThe initiative has already begun transforming students\u2019 lives. Many now confidently fill bank<br \/>\ndeposit slips and cheques, skills they previously found difficult. Others shared that they can<br \/>\ndifferentiate between a crepe bandage and a regular bandage, allowing them to support<br \/>\nfamily members during minor injuries.<br \/>\nStudents also praised the impact of the digital literacy modules. Muskan and Bhavesh from<br \/>\nGSSS Santokhpura, who also won the competitions, shared how meaningful the sessions were. \u201cThe cyber security videos made us aware of cyber criminals.\u201d \u201cThe sessions taught us to keep passwords confidential and stay safe online. Discussing<br \/>\nreal incidents helped a lot.\u201d Teachers echoed this sentiment, calling the topics \u201cinformative,<br \/>\nrelevant, and much needed.\u201d<br \/>\nThe grand finale on 28 November 2025 brought together students from across the district, reflecting Project CHETNA\u2019s wide impact. Hon\u2019ble DC Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal IAS along with Assistant Commissioner Mukilan, addressed the students and encouraged them to carry their learning beyond the classroom. DC urged them to \u201ctake these skills home, teach your parents and elders, and help<br \/>\nthem stay safe and informed,\u201d emphasizing that true learning is reflected when it positively<br \/>\nimpacts families and communities. He applauded the students\u2019 confidence and preparedness,noting that \u201cskills like financial awareness, digital safety, and first aid are not just<br \/>\nacademic\u2014they are life skills every household needs.\u201d Students showcased strong abilities across all six themes, with the CPR Relay Race emerging as a powerful demonstration of emergency readiness.<br \/>\n.
