The large-scale delays and cancellations have caused severe inconvenience to passengers nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>According to airport sources, IndiGo cancelled 127 flights from Bengaluru, including 65 arrivals and 62 departures. Similarly, 134 flights were cancelled from New Delhi airport. The airline has been under pressure since December 2, with hundreds of flights grounded daily.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has extended the deadline for IndiGo CEO Peter Albers and Chief Operating Officer and Accounting Manager Isidro Porqueras to respond to the show-cause notices issued on Saturday. The regulator had initially given 24 hours to explain the \u201csignificant shortcomings in planning, monitoring and resource management\u201d that led to the large-scale operational failure.<\/p>\n<p>The Gurugram-based airline, partly owned by Rahul Bhatia, is facing growing criticism from both the government and affected passengers.
