Punjab E News:<\/span> Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab General Secretary and Media In-charge Baltej Pannu today delivered a powerful message to the people of Punjab as he toured various regions ahead of the Zila Parishad and Block Samiti elections. He said that AAP is seeking votes purely on the basis of hard work, honest governance, and unprecedented development carried out by the Bhagwant Mann Government.<\/p>\n

Pannu said all wings of the party and every leader is actively campaigning across villages and blocks, and the public response has been overwhelmingly positive.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the achievements of the AAP Government, Pannu said, 600 units of free electricity continue uninterrupted, giving massive financial relief to families. Punjab\u2019s school infrastructure has been transformed, bringing dignity and quality back into government education. Mohalla Clinics have opened across the state, offering free medicines and free diagnostic tests. The government has shut down 13 toll plazas, something no other state has achieved. \u201cThese are real, measurable achievements, and we are asking for votes on this work, nothing else,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Pannu said Punjab\u2019s newly created Road Safety Force (SSF) has reduced road accident fatalities by nearly 50%, a historic achievement. On the issue of drugs, Pannu stressed that while drug trafficking is a global problem, Punjab is the only state fighting it with such intensity and planning.
\n\u201cNo other government has taken such decisive action against smugglers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Addressing one of the biggest achievements of the Mann Government, Pannu said 60,000 youth have received government jobs. Not even one job has been challenged in court. No recommendations, no bribes, no political pressure were involved. He contrasted this with previous governments, \u201cIn the past, jobs were announced before elections, then got stuck in courts because of corruption. Today, every job is earned with dignity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pannu said that the Chief Minister has just returned from Japan and South Korea, where discussions with global companies are expected to bring new investment and fresh industrial growth to Punjab. \u201cIndustry will get a new boost, and Punjab\u2019s youth will get new opportunities,\u201d Pannu said.<\/p>\n

Pannu strongly emphasised that AAP has ended the decades-old \u2018parcha culture\u2019 that destroyed peace in villages. He said earlier governments used FIRs as weapons against opponents, recalling infamous episodes related to Toti Sarpanch and the brutality associated with leaders like Sikander Singh Maluka. \u201cThat gundaraj is gone. We have not filed false cases against our opponents. We have restored peace in villages,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Pannu highlighted Punjab\u2019s push toward sports as a weapon against drugs. 3,100 stadiums are currently being built in villages. Recently, girls from Punjab who won the World Cricket Championship were honoured by the Chief Minister. When Punjab\u2019s hockey team won the title, CM Mann rewarded them within three days, even before the central government acted. \u201cWe want to pull our youth away from drugs and towards sports. The government is doing everything possible,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

*Zero Links with Gangsters or Smugglers: Our MLAs Have No Dirty Ties, Unlike Previous Regimes*<\/p>\n

Pannu stated unequivocally that AAP has no connection with smugglers or gangsters. Not a single AAP MLA or minister has been photographed or linked with drug dealers. AAP has never given tickets to family members of gangsters or criminals. \u201cIn contrast, previous regimes openly sheltered such elements. Punjab has not forgotten,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Appealing to the people, Pannu said these elections are crucial for grassroots democracy, \u201cWe request the people of Punjab to vote in large numbers and elect AAP\u2019s candidates for Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti. These institutions will produce tomorrow\u2019s leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also highlighted that AAP has given tickets to ordinary youth from common households, ending Punjab\u2019s old culture of political dynasties based on sons, nephews, sons-in-law, and relatives. \u201cOur foundation is honesty.
