The provision allows parking in the basement or stilt level and residential accommodation on the remaining four floors.<\/p>\n<p>The bye-laws were approved by the Punjab Cabinet on October 28 and have now been formally notified.<\/p>\n<p>Under the new rules, a minimum road width of 30 feet is required for plots measuring up to 200 square yards. For plots larger than 200 square yards, the minimum road width has been fixed at 40 feet.<\/p>\n<p>However, the decision has drawn criticism from urban planners and architects.
