{"id":57546,"date":"2025-12-23T17:40:31","date_gmt":"2025-12-23T12:10:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/punjabenews.com\/English\/?p=57546"},"modified":"2025-12-23T18:41:00","modified_gmt":"2025-12-23T13:11:00","slug":"bjp-insults-sikh-faith-during-martyrdom-days-of-sahibzadas-must-apologise-immediately","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/punjabenews.com\/English\/punjab\/bjp-insults-sikh-faith-during-martyrdom-days-of-sahibzadas-must-apologise-immediately\/","title":{"rendered":"BJP Insults Sikh Faith During Martyrdom Days of Sahibzadas, Must Apologise Immediately"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Punjab News:<\/span> Aam Aadmi Party MP Malvinder Singh Kang on Tuesday strongly condemned the Bharatiya Janata Party for gravely hurting Sikh religious sentiments by circulating a social media post portraying Sri Guru Sahib and the Sahibzadas in the form of cartoons, calling it a shameful, insensitive and deliberate act.<\/p>\n<p>Kang said it is deeply offensive that the BJP chose to indulge in such behaviour during the sacred days commemorating the martyrdom of Mata Gujri Ji and the Chhote and Bade Sahibzadas, a period when the entire Sikh community bows in reverence, grief and devotion to the unparalleled sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh Ji\u2019s family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile Sikhs across the world are observing these solemn days with faith and deep respect, the BJP has once again exposed its anti-Sikh mindset by mocking the most sacred figures of Sikh history through cartoons. This is not just insensitivity; it is a direct insult to Sikh beliefs,\u201d Kang said.<\/p>\n<p>The AAP MP stated that such actions prove that the BJP lacks basic respect for religious sentiments and continues to trivialise Sikh history for political or social media gains. \u201cThe extent of condemnation this act deserves is far greater than words. Such behaviour cannot be tolerated under any circumstances,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n<p>Kang demanded an unconditional public apology from the BJP leadership, stating that anything short of a clear apology would only reinforce the perception that the party harbours contempt for Sikh faith.<\/p>\n<p>He also questioned the silence of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), saying that its inaction raises serious concerns. \u201cThe SGPC must take serious and immediate cognisance of this issue. Silence on such a grave insult sends a wrong message and raises uncomfortable questions,\u201d Kang said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe martyrdom of the Sahibzadas and Mata Gujri Ji is the highest symbol of courage, faith and righteousness.
