This bill is nothing but an assault on the livelihood of crores of MGNREGA workers, especially Dalits and marginalised communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dhaliwal asserted that AAP strongly opposed the bill in the Punjab Assembly and would not hesitate to take the fight to the streets. \u201cAAP is fully prepared to agitate. We will not allow this anti-poor bill to be implemented at any cost,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n<p>Exposing SAD\u2019s duplicity, Dhaliwal said the party\u2019s absence during the Assembly discussion clearly showed its secret understanding with BJP. \u201cWhen the Punjab Assembly passed a resolution rejecting BJP\u2019s bill, SAD chose to remain absent. This absence is a clear signal of their behind-the-scenes deal with BJP,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed out that two MLAs of Akali Dal had already quit the Badal faction, leaving only one SAD MLA, whose absence further exposed the party\u2019s real stand. \u201cSAD has silently supported this anti-poor and anti-Dalit bill,\u201d Dhaliwal added.<\/p>\n<p>Referring to earlier instances, Dhaliwal said SAD and SGPC\u2019s silence over BJP\u2019s controversial social media post on Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Sahibzadas also reflected their growing closeness. \u201cThis silence was not accidental, it was deliberate,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Dhaliwal warned that scrapping or weakening MGNREGA would push lakhs of families into unemployment, hitting women the hardest. \u201cBJP talks of \u2018Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao\u2019, yet MGNREGA employs our mothers and sisters in large numbers. Taking away their work is an attack on women&#8217;s independence,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Condemning SAD\u2019s silence, Dhaliwal said, \u201cBy standing with BJP, SAD has openly declared itself against Punjab\u2019s poor.
