Chhina is a first-time MLA representing the Ludhiana South constituency.<\/p>\n<p>According to the complaint filed by the MLA\u2019s family, around \u20b950 lakh was spent to facilitate Navneet Kaur\u2019s move to Australia after her marriage to Navkiranjit Singh, Chhina\u2019s son. Navkiranjit later joined her in Australia in 2018 on a spouse visa.<\/p>\n<p>The complainants alleged that following a matrimonial dispute, Navneet Kaur withdrew Navkiranjit Singh\u2019s name from the joint permanent residency application without his consent. They claimed the move jeopardised his immigration status and caused significant financial loss.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint further stated that tensions escalated between the two families over a dispute related to gold jewellery while the couple was in Australia.
