Chandigarh: Aman Arora, president of Aam Aadmi Party Punjab and a cabinet minister in the state government, on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the Indian National Congress while speaking to reporters outside the Punjab Legislative Assembly.<\/p>\n
Arora alleged that the Congress government, which ruled Punjab from 2017 to 2022, failed to fulfil even a single promise made to the people. In contrast, he claimed that the AAP government has implemented most of its guarantees within four years of coming to power.<\/p>\n
Taking a dig at the opposition, Arora said the Congress was now avoiding discussion on what he described as the \u201cstrong performance\u201d of the government over the past four years.<\/p>\n
Referring to past promises made by Congress, Arora said the party had pledged to provide \u201cghar-ghar naukri\u201d (jobs for every household) and a monthly unemployment allowance of \u20b92,500 in 2017, but these commitments remained unfulfilled.<\/p>\n
He claimed that the AAP government has provided government jobs to around 63,000 youth over the past four years. Arora also said that sectors such as healthcare and education saw little improvement during the Congress tenure, while the current government has introduced major reforms.<\/p>\n
According to him, the opposition does not have any substantial issues to raise and is therefore creating disruptions to divert public attention.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
