The 36-year-old leader was the only candidate to file nomination for the post, as no other nomination was submitted before the deadline expired on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>His nomination was proposed by the Gurdaspur Cricket Association, and the formal announcement regarding his appointment will be made on March 21.<\/p>\n<p>The secretary\u2019s post had fallen vacant on July 25, 2025, after Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh resigned from the position, citing other responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p>With Meet Hayer set to take charge as secretary, leaders associated with the Aam Aadmi Party will hold all key positions in the Punjab Cricket Association. The current PCA president Amarjit Singh previously served as the secretary and spokesperson of the party\u2019s Punjab unit.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, PCA vice-president Deepak Bali is the state general secretary of the Aam Aadmi Party.
