Chandigarh: Two suspects in the Chandigarh shooting case were arrested after an encounter with the Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) in Kaithal on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The accused have been identified as Piyush Pehlwan, a resident of Ferozepur, and Pritam Shah from Nawanshahr.<\/p>\n
Police said the suspects were injured after opening fire on the police team during the operation. Weapons used in the crime and a motorcycle were recovered from their possession.<\/p>\n
Sources revealed that Piyush Pehlwan, also known as Rajan, had recently entered India illegally from Malaysia via Nepal. Both accused are said to have prior criminal records.<\/p>\n
The arrests come amid pressure from the family of victim Chamanpreet Singh (31), who had refused to perform his last rites until the accused were apprehended.<\/p>\n
