New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has made a significant organisational change in the Rajya Sabha, removing MP Raghav Chadha from the post of deputy leader.<\/p>\n
Punjab MP and Lovely Professional University chancellor Ashok Mittal has been appointed as the new deputy leader of the party in the Upper House.<\/p>\n
The party has officially informed the Rajya Sabha Secretariat about the change. While AAP has described the move as a routine administrative decision, sources said Chadha also met the Secretary General of the Rajya Sabha regarding the development.<\/p>\n
With the new role, Mittal is expected to lead the party\u2019s strategy more actively in the Upper House. A businessman and educationist, he represents Punjab in the Rajya Sabha.<\/p>\n
Sources further indicated that the party has also communicated that Raghav Chadha should not be allocated speaking time in the House.<\/p>\n
