New Delhi: AAP MP Raghav Chadha on Friday broke his silence after being removed as the party\u2019s deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha and being denied speaking time in the House.<\/p>\n
In a video shared on social media, Chadha said he had been \u201csilenced but not defeated\u201d, asserting that he would continue to raise public issues.<\/p>\n
\u201cI raised people\u2019s concerns. How did that harm the party?\u201d he said, adding that he would return stronger against attempts to suppress his voice.<\/p>\n
The development comes a day after the Aam Aadmi Party replaced Chadha with Punjab MP Ashok Mittal as deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha. The party had also written to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat requesting that Chadha not be allotted speaking time.<\/p>\n
Chadha, who has been a Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab since 2022, has a term till 2028.<\/p>\n
The party has not publicly stated the reasons behind the decision.
