Covo: A shocking incident has emerged from Covo in Italy\u2019s Bergamo province, where two Indian nationals were shot dead late Friday night in what police suspect to be a pre-planned attack.<\/p>\n
According to reports, the incident took place outside Gurdwara Mata Sahib Kaur Ji in the town\u2019s industrial area, as the victims were leaving a warehouse being used for Vaisakhi celebrations.<\/p>\n
The deceased have been identified as 48-year-old Raghuvinder Singh, a resident of Covo, and 48-year-old Gurmeet Singh from Agnadello.<\/p>\n
As per Italian newspaper La Sicilia, the attacker approached the victims, opened fire, and fled the scene in a car. Investigators recovered around 10 bullet shells from the spot.<\/p>\n
Initial findings suggest the incident was not the result of a spontaneous altercation. Police are treating it as a targeted killing and have launched a detailed probe.<\/p>\n
A witness reportedly told local media that the assailant was believed to be of Indian origin and was known to frequently visit the gurdwara.<\/p>\n
