{"id":64280,"date":"2026-04-27T14:44:22","date_gmt":"2026-04-27T09:14:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/punjabenews.com\/English\/?p=64280"},"modified":"2026-04-27T14:44:22","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T09:14:22","slug":"ed-raids-11-locations-linked-to-former-punjab-dig-in-money-laundering-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/punjabenews.com\/English\/latest\/ed-raids-11-locations-linked-to-former-punjab-dig-in-money-laundering-case\/","title":{"rendered":"ED raids 11 locations linked to former Punjab DIG in money laundering case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chandigarh: The Enforcement Directorate on Monday carried out major raids at 11 locations across Punjab and Chandigarh in connection with a money laundering case against former Punjab Police DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar.<\/p>\n<p>Searches across multiple cities<\/p>\n<p>Officials said simultaneous searches were conducted in Ludhiana, Patiala, Nabha and Jalandhar, targeting premises linked to Bhullar, his associates and alleged benami property holders.<\/p>\n<p>The action was conducted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), focusing on assets suspected to be disproportionate to known sources of income and proceeds of bribery.<\/p>\n<p>Documents, digital evidence seized<\/p>\n<p>During the raids, ED teams reportedly seized key documents and digital evidence as part of the ongoing probe into alleged illegal wealth accumulation.<\/p>\n<p>CBI case forms basis<\/p>\n<p>The case stems from an FIR registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
