{"id":65451,"date":"2026-05-22T20:58:10","date_gmt":"2026-05-22T15:28:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/punjabenews.com\/English\/?p=65451"},"modified":"2026-05-22T20:58:10","modified_gmt":"2026-05-22T15:28:10","slug":"punjab-changes-office-school-timings-amid-rising-heatwave","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/punjabenews.com\/English\/latest\/punjab-changes-office-school-timings-amid-rising-heatwave\/","title":{"rendered":"Punjab changes office, school timings amid rising heatwave"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday announced revised working hours for all government offices and schools across the state in view of the increasing summer heat.<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Minister said that from May 25 onwards, all government offices, schools and classes in Punjab will function from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm.<\/p>\n<p>He said the decision has been taken to protect government employees, teachers and students from extreme heat conditions.<\/p>\n<p>This is the second time during the tenure of the Aam Aadmi Party government that office timings have been changed due to rising temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in April 2023, the Punjab government had introduced similar revised timings for government offices from 7:30 am to 2 pm.
