The so-called \u201cliquor langar\u201d was reportedly organised outside a liquor shop named \u201cLiquor World\u201d in the upscale Sector 9 market area.<\/p>\n<p>According to preliminary reports, police have registered an FIR against the liquor contractors under provisions of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 and Section 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).<\/p>\n<p>Police records identified the liquor outlet owner as Rajesh Sachdeva, a resident of Saketri village, who has been taken into custody in connection with the case.<\/p>\n<p>During the investigation, officials found that Smirnoff flavoured vodka had allegedly been used in the ice golas distributed at the spot.
