Dharmendra was selected for the honour in recognition of his immense contribution to Indian cinema and his remarkable acting career spanning several decades.<\/p>\n<p>During the ceremony, Indian women\u2019s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur was also honoured with the Padma Shri for her contribution to Indian cricket.<\/p>\n<p>President Murmu further presented the Padma Vibhushan to renowned violinist N. Rajam for her outstanding contribution to the field of music. Her work in Indian classical music has earned widespread acclaim across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Several distinguished personalities from different fields were also honoured with the Padma Bhushan.
