Earlier, a local court in Patiala had granted him bail in an illegal mining case registered under the Mines and Minerals Act.<\/p>\n<p>However, he continued to remain behind bars due to the rape case, in which a woman from Zirakpur had accused him of rape, cheating and criminal intimidation.<\/p>\n<p>Following the High Court&#8217;s decision to grant regular bail in the second case, there are now no legal hurdles to his release, subject to the completion of procedural formalities.<\/p>\n<p>Pathanmajra, who represents the Sanour constituency, has remained at the centre of political and legal controversy since the registration of the cases against him.
