Chandigarh News (6 July 2026):<\/span> Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. kultar Singh Sandhwan said that Diljit Dosanjh’s film “Satluj” was removed from OTT in just a few days. The question is why the central government so afraid of the truth?<\/p>\n

He further informed that during the Congress rule, thousands of Punjabi youth were illegally killed. Countless youths were disappeared. Many mothers died waiting for their sons. Many families have not even received the death certificate of their children till date. Justice is far away, their pain has not even been heard by central government.<\/p>\n

This is the dark chapter of our Punjab’s history, which every Punjabi child should know about it. A film like “Satluj”, which is based on these events, was not allowed to release for the last three years. 127 cuts were made on this film by the Censor Board . But on the other hand, films like “Kerala Story”, “Kashmir Files” and “Dhurandhar” were released without any obstacles, he added.<\/p>\n

Speaker Sandhwan said that when “Satluj” came on OTT without cuts, it was removed forthwith. Central government should answer why is there so much fear of Punjab’s pain and Punjab’s truth?<\/p>\n

He also pinned responsibility on the Congress, demanding to know when the families of thousands of youth killed during their rule would receive justice. “Preventing a true story from reaching the public is a betrayal of democracy; it is nothing but a deliberate attempt to suppress the truth,” Sandhwan stated.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that Satluj film is not based on fiction, Satuj film based on a factual documentory story. This film is grounded entirely on CBI investigations and official court documentation, reflecting a stark reality.<\/p>\n

Historically, the Congress party initiated this aggressive stance against Punjab. The critical question now is whether the BJP is also following the same trajectory, reinforcing past policies and reopening old wounds.”<\/p>\n

Moreover he added that Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalra ji is a martyr of the nation and everyone should know about his sacrifice. Now Punjab needs justice. The truth of Punjab should not be suppressed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
