New Delhi: The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear three public interest litigations (PILs) on July 13 seeking a CBI investigation into the finances of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and an independent probe, under the court’s supervision, into allegations of misuse of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.<\/p>\n
The petitions will come up before a Bench comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice V. Mohan when the Supreme Court resumes partial functioning after the summer vacation.<\/p>\n
Earlier, the apex court had declined requests for an urgent hearing of the petitions during the vacation period.<\/p>\n
The first PIL, filed by Narendra Kumar Goswami, who is appearing as petitioner-in-person, seeks a CBI probe into the matter and also requests that the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) conducthb 2 an audit of the finances of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which manages the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.<\/p>\n
The petitions also seek an independent investigation into allegations of misuse of donations received by the trust. The allegations are yet to be adjudicated, and the matter is pending before the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
