Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Derabassi in Punjab, Kuljit Randhawa, has been embroiled in a controversy on Thursday.
The MLA's PA Nitin Luthra has allegedly demanded a bribe of one lakh rupees from the Baltana police post in-charge.
The police post in-charge Bramah Singh was transferred for not giving the money. One of its call recordings is going viral.
The complaint was lodged by Aam Admi Party leader Vikram Dhawan. He sent the recoding on CM Bhagwant Mann's anti-corruption helpline number 95012-00200. It is not confirmed that audio's voice is of MLA's PA.
MLA Kuljit Randhawa said, "None of my men asked for any money. If my worker was involved in any illegal work, I will file a complaint against him and ensure that strict action has been taken. The response to his PA has not yet come.
