BJP slams Rahul Gandhi for 'partying abroad', Congress hits back says 'not a crime to attend a marriage in a friendly country'

New Delhi: A political row has erupted after a video of  Congress leader Rahul Gandhi partying at a nightclub reportedly in Nepal's Kathmandu went viral on Tuesday.

Several BJP leaders shared the video on Twitter and attacked Congress leadership including Rahul Gandhi for enjoying and partying amid communal clashes in Rajasthan where the party is in power.

Union minister Kiren Rijiju said that Regular Parties, Vacations, Holidays, Pleasure Trips, Private Foreign Visits etc are nothing new to the nation now. As a private citizen there's no issue at all but when an MP, a permanent boss of a national political party who keeps preaching others.

BJP IT cell incharge Amit Malviya tweeted, "Rahul Gandhi was at a nightclub when Mumbai was under seize. He is at a nightclub at a time when his party is exploding. He is consistent. Interestingly, soon after the Congress refused to outsource their presidency, hit jobs have begun on their Prime Ministerial candidate."

Meanwhile, Congress party hit back at BJP and its national spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said that it is not crime to attend a marriage in a friendly country and clarified that Gandhi was attending a wedding function.
