3 labourers killed, 6 injured in Narela food processing unit fire incident

New Delhi: Three labourers were killed and six others injured in a fire that broke out following an explosion at a food processing unit in the national capital’s Narela industrial area in the wee hours today, police said.

At 3.35 am, the fire department received information that a fire had broken out in the Shyam Kripa Foods Private Limited factory, which was processing dry moong dal.

The fire engulfed the factory and some workers were trapped in it. 14 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and nine people were rescued from the building.
