Sebi imposes stock market ban, penalty on former TV anchor Pandya, others for five years
New Delhi: Markets regulator Sebi today imposed a five-year ban on Pradeep Pandya and seven others for anchoring a stock market show on a television channel and imposed a collective fine of Rs 2.6 crore. The action has been taken for alleged involvement in fraud in business activities.
Apart from Pandya, the others who have been banned by Sebi are Alpesh Furia, Manish Furia, Alpa Furia, Alpesh Vasanji Furia HUF, Manish V Furia HUF, Mahan Investment and Toshi Trade.
Pandya was the host/co-host of various CNBC voice-run shows till August 2021, while Alpesh Furia used to appear on the TV channel as a guest or an outside expert and make stock recommendations on Twitter.
