Sensex and Nifty set new records in Indian stock market

Mumbai: Sensex and Nifty hit their new record highs in early trade today on the back of retail inflation falling to a one-year low in May and buying in IT stocks.

The 30-share BSE index Sensex jumped 538.89 points to hit an all-time high of 77,145.46 points. The NSE Nifty rose 158.1 points to a record high of 23,481.05.
