Stock market recovers after earthquake; Sensex rises 650 points, know nifty’s status

Mumbai: The stock market is seen trading in the green on Wednesday after the spot fell on the day of the election results. In the early trade, the Sensex showed an increase of up to 600 points. On the other hand, the Nifty once again managed to cross the 22000 level.

However, on Wednesday morning, the market saw sales from the upper level. At 9:39 am, the Sensex was trading 188.90 (0.26%) points higher at 72,267.95. The Nifty rose 46.05 points (0.21%) to 21,930.55.

On June 4, the stock market opened with a sharp decline amid the trends of the Lok Sabha elections. The trading session has been volatile for the stock market.

After a steep fall during the trading session, the Sensex finally settled 4,389.73 points (5.74%) lower at 72,079.05. With this, the Nifty ended 1,379.40 points (5.93%) down at 21,884.50.
