19 mobile phones recovered from Ferozepur Central Jail

Chandigarh: Punjab’s jails are constantly in the headlines. Cases of drugs and mobile phones being recovered from jails are constantly coming to light.

A similar case has come to light from the Central Jail in Ferozepur.
According to the information received, 11 mobile phones have been recovered from the Central Jail of Ferozepur during the search. Apart from this, items like tobacco, data cables, sim cards etc. have been recovered.
The police have registered a case against unidentified persons, including inmates, following a complaint by the jail official. Questions have been raised on the jail administration several times after such a large number of items were found in the jail after the matter came to light.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first case, even before this, many times mobile and intoxicating items have been recovered from the jail.
