24-year-old man dyes hair, beard to disguise as elderly passenger to board Canada flight, arrested at Delhi airport
New Delhi: An interesting case has emerged from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. A 24-year-old man with his hair and beard dyed to look older was caught by the Central Industrial Security Force before leaving for Canada.
The passenger, Guru Sewak Singh, who had arrived with his hair and beard colored, was stopped at the airport’s T3 terminal and handed over to the Delhi Police, according to an official.
The man was first checked by CISF personnel for suspicious activities. He identified himself as 67-year-old Rashwinder Singh Sahota and presented his passport as proof of identity.
He was scheduled to board an Air Canada flight that departed from Delhi on Tuesday, the official said. “The man’s appearance, voice, and skin tone differed from the description given in the passport and suggested he was much younger.”
