AAP MLA declared absconder by court in Punjab
Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Baba Bakala, Dalbir Singh Tong, has been declared a fugitive. The MLA’s property has also been attached as he did not appear on repeated requests of the court.
In 2020, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had staged a sit-in outside the deputy commissioner’s office in Tarn Taran to seek justice for those who died due to spurious liquor.
A case has been registered against sitting Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Deputy Speaker Jai Kishan Rori, Transport Minister Laljit Bhullar, Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, MLA Dr Kashmir Singh Sohal, MLA Maninder Singh Lalpura, MLA Manjit Singh Bilaspur MLA, Dalbir Singh Tong and several others. Non-bailable warrants have been issued against the ministers of the Punjab government.
After that, the said leaders appeared in the lower court on the orders of the High Court and got their bail, but after Baba Bakala MLA Dalbir Singh Tong did not appear in the court continuously.
The judge declared Dalbir Singh Tong PO in this case. Along with this, the MLA’s property has also been ordered to attach.
