After former Sultanpur Lodhi councillor, three others booked in Latifpura fake registries case
Punjabenews: A case has been registered against four occupants of Latifpura on charges of forging registrations after the improvement trust demolished their house in Latifpura, Jalandhar. It is worth mentioning that a case was registered against former Sultanpur Lodhi councillor Dinesh Dhir in this case yesterday itself.
Jagtar Singh Sanghera, chairman of the trust, says that more such people will be identified and action will be taken against them as well. The Chairman said that the Punjab Government would rehabilitate only the needy people of Latifpura and nothing would be given to any person associated with the land mafia.
A total of four persons, including Dinesh Dhir, have been named in the case of fake registrations in Latifpura. After Dinesh Dhir, now the names of Rakesh Kumar, Lakhwinder Singh and Ramesh Dhir have also been included in the FIR.
In the case, it was said that Dinesh Dhir had done fake registrations with all of them.
The chairman of the trust had given a written complaint to the Jalandhar police commissioner against Dinesh. Not only this, in the action taken by the Improvement Trust in Latifpura in the past, Dinesh Dhir was claiming himself to be a victim. Dhir is originally from Sultanpur Lodhi. He had joined the Aam Aadmi Party last year.
Jalandhar Police has registered a case of cheating against Dinesh Dhir for allegedly getting 10 fake registrations done in his name from Latifpura site. The registries that Dhir allegedly did not have khasra numbers.
On the basis of fake registries, 92 marlas of land belonging to the Improvement Trust have been encroached upon, the FIR said.
A case has been registered against under Sections 420 and 120-B of the IPC and 82 of the Registration Act at Police Station New Barandri.
