After Sangrur, now three people died in Sunam due to spurious liquor, many critical
Chandigarh: After the deaths of eight people due to poisonous liquor in Sangrur, another similar case has emerged in Bibi Basti of Sunam. Three people have died from consuming poisonous liquor here, and many others remain in critical condition.
Following the deaths of eight individuals who consumed poisonous liquor in the Gujjaran area of Sangrur, the police have dismantled a gang involved in manufacturing counterfeit liquor and apprehended its leader.
The accused has been identified as Harmanpreet Singh, a resident of Patiala. This arrest occurred after questioning Gurlal Singh.
The accused, Gurlal Singh, is believed to be the ringleader of the counterfeit liquor manufacturing gang. The arrested individuals have been identified as Sukhwinder Singh, Manpreet Singh, Amrik Singh, and Gurlal Singh, all residents of village Ubhawal, along with Harmanpreet Singh from village Teipur in Patiala district.
Authorities said that the apprehended suspects have prior records with various police stations.
