Chandigarh: Officials of national agencies reached Jallupur Khera village on Wednesday in search of Amritpal, a pro-Khalistan and head of Waris Punjab De chief. His wife Kirandeep Kaur was also questioned here. She was questioned for his links with a terrorist organization named Babbar Khalsa International and foreign funding case. Before marriage, Kirandeep lived in the UK.
According to an intelligence report in the media, while living there, she has association with a terrorist organization named Babbar Khalsa International. She used to raise funds for Babbar Khalsa International in the UK. In 2020, she was detained by security agencies there along with five other accomplices.
She was also questioned there. It is also being told that funds have also been transferred from abroad to some accounts of Kirandeep Kaur. This is also being investigated.
However, no police officer is ready to say anything on this. The police are only saying that the bank accounts of Kirandeep and her relatives are being investigated.
If the security agencies get any clue during the interrogation, then Kirandeep can be taken into custody. Amritpal’s brother has already been detained by the police. On Wednesday, Amritpal’s mother Balwinder Kaur, father Tarsem Singh and uncle Sukhchain Singh and grandmother Charan Kaur were also questioned.
