Bribery case filed against ex-SHO of Sultanpur Lodhi police station
Punjab E News: A case of corruption has been registered against former SHO of Sultanpur Lodhi police station Inspector Sarabjit Singh. He has been accused of misusing his position to prove the innocence of the PTPR Act accused by tampering with papers.
The case has now been revealed after the case pending since 2018 was not settled.
In the investigation, the SHO took a bribe and acquitted the accused without informing his superiors about the evidence. Sultanpur Lodhi police have booked former SHO (retired) Sarabjit Singh under the Prevention of Corruption Act and conspiracy.
A case has also been registered against Balwinder Singh, who was acquitted. by former SHO and he is currently in the US. Inspector Sarabjit Singh is yet to be arrested, police said.
