BSF recovers heroin, arms cache in Gurdaspur sector

Chandigarh: Twenty packets of heroin, two pistols, six magazines, 242 cartridges and pipes were recovered from the Indo-Pak border in Gurdaspur sector.

At around 5.30 am, when the smugglers tried to send drugs from the Pakistani side in dera baba road 113 battalion area, the alert troops deployed on the border immediately opened fire, in response to which firing was also fired from the Pakistani side. After this, the smugglers took advantage of the fog and fled.
