Congress leader Kushaldeep Dhillon sent to jail till June 7
Faridkot: Former Faridkot MLA Kushaldeep Singh Kiki Dhillon, who was arrested on May 16 on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, was sent to jail by area magistrate here after his seven-day police remand ended.
The Vigilance Bureau has registered a case against Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The VB told the court that the accused had spent Rs 8 crore more than his income. The vigilance said that the interrogation of the former MLA has been completed while the investigation in the case is still going on.
The magistrate sent Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon to jail till June 7 under judicial custody. Gursewak Singh Neela and Rajwinder Singh, close associates of the former MLA, have been named as accused in the case, but the vigilance is yet to arrest the duo.
However, the vigilance is conducting raids.
