Encounter between gangsters and police in Ludhiana: 2 gangsters killed, one cop injured
Ludhiana: A shootout broke out between police and gangsters in connection with the kidnapping of businessman Sambhav Jain in Punjab’s Ludhiana on Wednesday, police said.
In this, two gangsters were killed. Apart from this, ASI was also injured. On receiving the information, Ludhiana Police Commissioner Kuldeep Chahal has rushed to the spot.
The encounter took place near Doraha at 5.50 pm. The deceased gangsters have been identified as Sanjeev alias Sanju Brahmin and Shubham Gopi.
The police had conducted a raid in the businessman kidnapping case. The miscreants who were fleeing here opened fire on the police. According to sources, the police also fired on the miscreants in retaliation.
