Encounter between Jalandhar police and gangster Chintu, four held after firing

Jalandhar: Gangster Chintu and his associates were confronted by a team of CIA staff from the city police on Thursday night in Abadpura, adjacent to the posh area of Jalandhar city. During the incident, one of the gangsters was injured by a bullet. Approximately 12 bullets were exchanged between both sides throughout the confrontation.

The CCTV footage of the entire incident has also been revealed, showing the accused firing upon sighting the police party.

Currently, the police have apprehended four suspects in connection with the case. Modern weapons have also been recovered from them. A separate case has been registered against the four individuals at the Model Town police station in Division Number 6 of the city.

Gangster Chintu has a history of several cases registered against him in Jalandhar city and the surrounding countryside.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Chintu, Neeraj, Sajan Joshi, and Kishan alias Ganja, all residents of Jalandhar. Each of the four individuals has a criminal background.
