FIR against ASI in Kapurthala: Official pistol and 10 cartridges missing, probe on
Kapurthala News: An ASI posted at City Police Station-2 in Kapurthala, Punjab, has been booked under Section 409 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for allegedly dismissing the advice received by the department. However, the matter is under investigation. The accused has not been arrested yet.
According to the FIR lodged at City Police Station-1, ASI/LR Jaswinder Singh, who is posted in City Police Station-2 (Urban Estate), had received 30 rounds of ammunition, including a 9 mm pistol number 18595884 model 2013, from the police department’s branch Asalah Khana.
On September 24, he deposited 20 rounds in the Asalah Khana. The government has been found missing due to lack of proper handling of the pistol and 10 rounds.
