First FIR against Master Salim in Jalandhar for hunting religious sentiments

The first FIR has been lodged against Sufi singer Master Salim for making a controversial statement about the priests of Chintpurni temple in Jalandhar at Baba Murad Shah’s Mela in Nakodar.
The FIR was lodged by the police following protests by Hindu organisations and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray.
Master Salim has been booked under Section 295A of the Indian Penal Code for hurting religious sentiments.
