Former MLA Simarjit Singh Bains granted bail in 17 criminal cases, to be released tomorrow

Punjabenews: Lok Insaaf Party chief and former MLA Simarjit Singh Bains has been granted bail in several other cases, including rape, culpable homicide not amounting to murder, absconding and defamation.

According to the information received, Simarjit Singh Bains will be released on Friday and will return home. Bains had surrendered before the court eight months ago in connection with the rape case.
After being granted bail in January 2023 in the high-profile rape case, Bains has also been granted bail in 16 other cases.
On February 10, his supporters are going to pick him up from Barnala jail in a convoy of cars.
There is a post on Facebook about the release of Simarjit Singh Bains. “Former MLA Simarjit Singh Bains is going to be released from jail on February 10 at 12 noon. Bains was arrested in 2022 in connection with the rape of a widow.”
