Gangsters from abroad will be brought to India: DGP Gaurav Yadav
Punjab E News: The Punjab Police is going to crack down on gangsters sitting abroad. Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav has said that the gangsters living abroad will soon be brought to Punjab with the help of Interpol and the Government of India.
Red Corner Notices have already been issued to these gangsters while minors associated with gangsters who have not committed any direct crime will also be given an opportunity to come back so that they can return to main stream again.
Replying to questions from reporters on the occasion, DGP Gaurav Yadav said that drugs and gangsterism will be rooted out from the state.
He added that the police have so far recovered huge consignments of drugs. He said that there is a special need for the cooperation of the people for the eradication of drugs.
The DGP said that while the police will recruit in the new man force every year, which will end the shortage of personnel, checking of illegally made licenses of weapons is also being done.
