Govt teacher held for sexually harassing girls in Gwalior school

A government school teacher in Gwalior has been arrested for sexually harassing minor girls in the school. The victims revealed that the teacher threatened to kill them and fail them in the examinations if they would not cooperate with him.

The incident came to the fore when a girl narrated the story to her mother. The other victims, falling in the age group of six to eight years, also revealed that a teacher named Gwalior (58) used to take them to a room in a school and asked them to strip.

They narrated the incidents to the station in-charge, Awadhesh Singh Kushwaha, who then filed an FIR against the accused under sections of the rape and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act.

The police immediately reached the teacher’s house and arrested him for sexually harassing the girls. Further investigation is underway.
