Gun culture crackdown: 5 arrested for displaying weapons

Patiala: The police have started cracking down on those who display weapons on social media. The police have registered six cases in different police stations for displaying weapons to curb gun culture. Five persons have been arrested in this connection.

Disclosing this here today, Patiala SSP Varun Sharma said that a case has been registered against Amrinder Singh of Jagtar Nagar, Sukhdeep Singh of Ranjit Nagar, Vipan of Daru Kutia of City Samana, Rajesh Kumar of Partap Colony and Harsh Goyal of Police Station Civil Lines.
SSP Varun Sharma said online hooliganism will not be tolerated. Online patrolling is being done by a special team of police. So those misusing social media should avoid it otherwise legal action will be initiated against them.
Apart from this, 13 cases have been registered and 16 accused have been arrested as part of the ongoing drive against drugs.
