HC reserves order on Bharat Bhushan Ashu’s bail plea

Chandigarh: The Punjab High Court on Thursday reserved its order on the bail plea of former Punjab minister Bharat Bhushan, who is embroiled in a tender allotment scam, after hearing arguments from all parties.

Ashu has filed a petition seeking regular bail in an FIR lodged against him by the Vigilance in Ludhiana on August 16.
On August 16, the Vigilance had registered an FIR against Bharat Bhushan Ashu in connection with the multi-crore transportation tender scam in the Food and Civil Supplies Department, following which he was arrested.
Ashu has now filed a petition in the high court seeking regular bail in the case.
