Heroin worth Rs 35 crore seized along Pak border in Punjab: BSF, police conduct search operation
Amritsar News: An attempt by Pakistani smugglers to transport heroin across the Amritsar border in Punjab has been foiled for the fifth consecutive day. Following information about drone activity near the border last night, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police initiated a joint search operation, resulting in the recovery of a crashed drone and heroin valued at approximately 14 crores by the authorities. Additionally, a packet of heroin was found in Tarn Taran.
As per information provided by the BSF, this achievement was realized late in the evening in the border village of Bhaini in Amritsar. A comprehensive search operation was conducted in the area after reports of drone movements were received.
Subsequently, the area was cordoned off, and the search operation commenced. During the search, a damaged drone and a yellow packet were discovered in the fields later in the evening.
